Anybody out there have permanent (bonded) retainer..?!

I've had an upper and lower retainer for just over a year. It doesn't affect eating or speech. It takes a few days to get used to (just like braces do) but you do eventually forget about them.Health Question & Answer

well the one i have is just a thin gold-colored strip that is glued to the back of my front teeth and i also have one on the bottom and no it doesn't affect anything but the first couple of days i had it i kept messing with it and yeah but then you get use to it:) i don't even realize it's in there anymore;)Health Question & Answer

It shouldn't affect eating (just try to floss it every once in a while) or speaking. I have one and I do forget it. haha. My dentist tells me that I need to floss it more often.

I used to have one but I got it out when I had my wisdom teeth removed
