Fact it is poison, but in your water, it is in such minute quantities it is harmful only to the bacteria that cause tooth decay. The anti fluoride folks try to scare people into believing it will kill them. It kills bacteria that causes tooth decay. Fluoride is a by product of aluminum manufacturing.Basically they needed somewhere to get rid of this toxic by product so someone was paid a lot of money to determine it was good for our teeth! In lay mens terms, fluoride is NOT a bad thing. It is very beneficial to your teeth when applied TOPICALLY meaning toothpaste or water when rinsing. The only time it poses a problem is when you INGEST TOO MUCH. Such as drinking water with TOO much fluoride. And even this is only a problem while teeth are developing. From utero to about 6-7yrs. of age. After that, all teeth have formed and cannot be effected by too much fluoride. Check with your city on how much fluoride is in your water. Ideal is 2ppm (parts per million) Usually ALL cities are regulated where they need to be. It's people on well water who usually end up with the big problems as it tends to have WAY too much fluoride in it. So again ingested is the only concern. Fluoride in the amounts used in water or toothpaste is not a poison - where did you get the stupid idea that is was.? My dentist won't let fluoride in his office; we have a few dentists that do the same here. That said....
As I understand it. Fluoride is a by product of making Aluminum. A stabilizer (I think). It cost the big companies mega buck to dispose of it, so some was sold as rat poison, then they came up with a bright idea of testing it in the water of prisoners during the war (which I don't know I figure WWII). There it was discovered that the prisoner's who had fluoride in their water needed less guards and asked fewer questions. So the push came in the States to add the fluoride to the drinking water as now the companies are making money and disposing of the stuff. The push was in Europe as well, but the public there are better informed and really watch what their governments do not no mention get involved which we don't seem to, and made a big stink about it and so it is not in their water. 30 years ago there was a push here in Quebec specifically in Aylmer, Quebec to prevent the fluoride being put in their water which I believe failed. Unfortunately we in Ontario have a massive dose in our city water and it is posted on the Internet, something like 0.70ppm per liter which is horrific. Then again we don't make much of a fuss up here in Canada, you might notice, since then. I go and get fresh spring water which is Fluoride free. I buy tooth paste that is fluoride free. I cook with fluoride free water. For the rest I use the tap water.
I believe if you get a hold of Dr.Len Horowitz stuff you will find out more than you want to know. He is a dentist but no longer practices. You should hear him on Vaccinations as well. But the bad stuff in those can be counteracted with homeopathic remedies (I am told) and good nutrition. Hope this helps. ;o)
