Question: Why don't my braces and elastics hurt after a week..?
It just feels a lil funny when i eating burgers (i was eating burgers the first week) it only took me a lil longer because i didn't wnat my food to get stuck in them. Is there somthing wrong with my braces or what.? Like people say they hurt so.......much but are they just being wussys.? IT WASN'T EVEN AS BAD AS GETTING A TOOTH PULLED

Yah! I'm glad that your adjustment is going well. Each time they change the wire, your teeth will hurt for a day or so. That will get to be less and less as you progress with your braces.
You may want to pick up some butler 'go betweens'. They are tiny little brushes that you can use to get the junk out between the wire and the brackets.
Hope you pick a fun color for your rubber bands. I liked the lime green ones. I kinda looked like an alien, but they were my 'margarita' bands. They always made people smile.

i was like that at first!.....i was like wat r ppl talkin abt!.? that's when i got them on for the first time................but i only had gottten the top ones! (in march!). they tightened them twice after that, but it didnt hurt too bad.....but last week i got the bottom ones!, and boy, o boy, they hurt the 1st couple days REALLY bad. i couldnt even chew a Lay's potato chip with out feelin pain and pressure....i think it's the thickness of the wire.....at first, they used a thin wire (for the top)....but when i got them for the bottom, they used a kinda thick wire!.......but hopefully u'll remain without feelin pain! lolHealth Question & Answer
It doesnt hurt. Most people just overreact. Your teeth get used to the stuff affecting them hence no pain.Health Question & Answer
