What can I do for this kind of tooth pain?!

Question: What can I do for this kind of tooth pain.?
My wisdom teeth have started coming in. At least for the ones that are coming in now, there is enough room for them to come in without complication but my gums are REALLY sore. Would advil or orajel or anything like that help or do I need to try something else.?

The teeth arent quite poking through yet but my gums are very tender and I can tell they'll come through soon.Health Question & Answer

The only things that really help me is extended release tylenol (Aka Tylenol Arthritis) and Orasol gel. It takes the edge off so I can think.
also, I've chewed sugar-free spearmint gum and that seems to work until the pain meds kick in. You can also try some of the things they use for infant teething... a damp (clean!) washcloth stuck in the freezer for a little while and gum it for a bit.. helps massage the gums that hurt and the cold just soothes it.

And don't bend over. The blood rushing to the teeth will make them throb like mad! Trust me, I'm no sissy.Health Question & Answer

Apart from painkillers, rinsing with saltwater(saline; a teaspoon of salt in a cup of water) or antibacterial mouthwash would be useful, couple of times a day. try massaging it gently.

If the pain persists, you might need prescribed medication by a dentist. You can also have the overlaying gum removed surgically.Health Question & Answer

1.) take a (just one unless you have been taking alot of them) tylenol or your choice of pain reliever I use Rapid Release
2) swish with hot to warm salty salty salty water more salt than water ( it decreases blood flow) for about 5 minutes or as long as you can stand it.
3) invest in childrens meltaway 80 mg pain reliever. take one they disolve quickly and usually come in bubble gum.Health Question & Answer

Orajel should help numb the pain. Use any pain killer - advil, tylenol, aleve etc should help the pain. Health Question & Answer
