Does your Orthodontist work with your schedule?!
Question: Does your Orthodontist work with your schedule.?
I have braces i have had them on Since August 25th. Well my aunt is having to take a lot of work off just for the orthodontist appointments. I have been sick to so she has had to take some time off for that. Well i had an appointment on Halloween because we have that day off. The doctor said anytime in the morning would be fine because they had the afternoon off. They just called and said that he won't be in on Halloween. I am starting to get a bit ticked off myself because that would have given me the weekend to re-cooperate because my teeth do hurt for a couple of days after getting them tightened. Should i talk to my regular dentist when i go for a check up in February if this keeps happening.?Health Question & Answer

your dentist has no bearing over your ortho. Mine does work with me and I have a heavy schedule between other appts, college, and their days of not being in that office. I don't know if you drive or not, but it helps. For the pain, take an aspirin, they work great because taking days between tightening and finding times to schedule is not a good way to do it. excedrin is a great pain reliever, best on the market in my opinionHealth Question & Answer
Unless your regular dentist is in corporation with your orthodontist they're not going to do anything. Yes my orthodontist worked around my schedule as much as she could, but there are just some times I had to miss school to get there. And as far as the pain just take some ibuprofen. A lot of people go through it and a lot of people go right back to school immediately after their appointment. If it bothers you very much take some ibuprofen before your appointment that way it's kicked in and you don't feel much pain.Health Question & Answer
