Question: Do i need a retainer or braces.?
Almost all of my teeth are perfectly straight and i don't have an overbite, but there is one tooth on my top row of teeth that isn't alligned with the rest (it's only noticable to me because i can feel it) and there is a small hole between them. There is also a small hole between two teeth on the side of my bottom row of teeth. what should i do.?Health Question & Answer

go to your local orthodontist that your insurance covers. they'll make an appointment with you in an office to look at your teeth and take xrays. they can tell you if you need braces, and if you do, how long. the best way to know is to ask a professional, and don't waste time! i waited a year and a half when i first noticed my teeth weren't perfect and i had to keep them on for 4 years :(Health Question & Answer
A reatiner wouldn't help you.
Retainers are designed to wear after your braces have been taken off, to RETAIN the position they are in, they don't move your teeth, they just stabilise them.
It doesn't sound like you need braces, but go to a local orthodontist and get their opinion.Health Question & Answer

You would need braces, but probably not for long. However, if your orthodontist doesn't say you need braces, then so be it. :)Health Question & Answer
