Question about a dental flipper?!

Question: Question about a dental flipper.?
My dentist made for me a dental flipper to wear until I can get my implant in a few months. I just started wearing it yesterday and it's pretty tight. I love to chew gum and when I tried with the flipper in, it got stock all over it and it was very hard to remove it. It was embarrassing because I was at work and I work in customer service. Does anyone have this problem.? Health Question & Answer

i have a flipper as well right now, which its basically a retainer so give it a few days to fit comfortably and as far as chewing gum orbit doesnt work lol i have the same problem, if i want to chew gum i just take them out bc its easier but try sucking on a hard candy instead so if your flipper is still overly tight to the point it is causing pain like it is now in about a week then ask your dentist about it but it should be fine in 2 days or soHealth Question & Answer

You should not be chewing gum with a flipper in at all, but if you must you need to be chewing something that is sugar free like orbit or trident. As far as removing it once it is on there, just use a tooth brush and tooth paste. No bleach or anything like that!

If it is fitting tight and is uncomfortable you need to see your dentist and have them relieve some of the acrylic so that it will fit better.Health Question & Answer

There is a gum to chew with dental appliances,. Biotne gum (dental product) does not stick to dental appliances ....otherwise, you cannot chew gum.....oh well.....Health Question & Answer
