Question: Should i ask to get my braces taken off early.?
0k so ive had my braces for 6 years now. its ridicoulous. ive had them for so long because on of my teeth was stuck in my gums and had to be pulled down by surgery. now all my teeth are straight the only thing is that the tooth that was pulled down which is my k9 is just a little sideways but you can barely notice. all my friends say why do you still have braces. your teeth are straight!!!! i really want my braces off for my bday which is in 12 days. can i ask to get them off early. will they still get crooked even if i wear the retainer. my teeth are straight , but i dont want to have them taken off and they get crooked again.Health Question & Answer

I had my braces taken off early after like 6 years too. They were fine a little tiny overbite, but then I didn't wear my retainer so they came back out again. Take them off early, but wear your retainer!!! Otherwise its all for naught.Health Question & Answer
I wouldn't - having braces for that long sucks. But in the long run - your orthodontist knows what he/she is doing. You'll want your teeth 100% straight. Trust me, in the end, it's better that you waited. I had to wait 3 years - and my teeth were straight after the first year and a half. Good luck! =] Health Question & Answer
6 years is a long time. but they might just take them off early, the only problem is the time it takes to make the retainer.
