I am an independent representative for that company, and it is a reputable company. Basically it is a discount plan, so you need to understand that it is not insurance. The plan gives you the ability to go to dental, vision, chiropractic as well as pharmacies and get discounted pricing on the treatment that you get. the thing is that you do pay for each treatment, but you are saving money because of the discounted fees. As far a braces that would be a savings of either 15% - 25% on what the office normally charges if it is a orthodontist that she sees. If it is a general dentist that happens to do ortho also, then you could pay as low as $2250.

1 Many orthodontists offer payment plans
2 Banks might be willing to offer small loan (NOT CREDIT CARD- HIGH%)
3 Depending on your age, you could get a part time job to supplement costs
4 Invisalign might be appropriate for you @ http://www.invisalign.com/Pages/Home.asp...
5 You could wait until older
Given the for-profit nature of the American health-care system, I would give more credibility to a Snake Oil salesmen than AmeriPlan.Health Question & Answer
