i went to the dentist 4 cleaning they said both of my canine teeth yes human are coming in crookred they told me to go to the orthadontist. what will the orthadontist say what do they do at the ortha.... how will they correct my problem

1. If your canines are coming in crooked, then YES, you will need braces.
2. Orthodontists are the specialized dentist who straighten the crooked teeth.
3. They will place the brackets and bands on your teeth.
4. Then they attach a wire through the sloughts (with ligature) of those brackets.
5. Since the wire is preformed with ideal shape of an arch, the teeth attached to that wire through the ligature get pulled into proper alignment.

7. Canines are the front teeth (1 on either side).
8. A Canine is usually the 3rd one from the midline with a pointed edge.
9. Usually, when you see an Orthodontist, the braces are placed during the 3rd visit.
This is what you can expect :
i) 1st visit : The consultation
ii) 2nd visit : The records (impression, x-rays, etc.).
They can also show you the before and after pictures using computer simulation programs, provided the Orthodontist has that software.
iii) 3rd visit : You get the braces put on.
If your Orthodontist wants to save time, they can combine the 1st and the 2nd visit.
iv) Therefore, the earliest that you can have the braces put on will be the day of the 2nd appointment.
