Braces question! easy!?!

Depending on if you have an overbite or not. If you have an overbite you must wait for your top ones to be in the proper positions so you can get bands to pull the bottom forward and top set back so the overbite disappears. Otherwise, they may take them off, but sometimes you may think they are straight, but the lines have to be centered and in the correct spot. Your more likely to get them off at the same time so dont get your hopes up, but the ortho knows what they are doing and its totally worth it! Good LuckHealth Question & Answer

In braces, straightening is not the only thing but the proper occlusion i.e. proper meeting of upper and lower teeth is also needed. So till the occlusion is achieved, the lower braces cannot be removed. For more information on braces you can visit the following very informative website

I wanted to ask my orthodontist the same question and I believe it is possible. I am sure they can remove them two or three months before but not earlier than that, something about the rubber bands that you suppose to wear for overbite. My top teeth are already straight but not the bottom teeth but i need to wear those bands so i need the top brackets.Health Question & Answer
