Help determining a toothache problem?!

Question: Help determining a toothache problem.?
One of my teeth towards the back has been hurting. Whenever I chew on something, and apply pressure on the tooth it hurts. It's not extreme pain, but I know there's something wrong. Now when I drink cold stuff, my tooth has a lingering sensitivity even after I've finished drinking cold liquids. I thought that tooth had a sealant on it already so I don't know what could be wrong with it. And the insurance money has been used up due to another dental procedure, so I really don't want to go to the dentist yet just for them to see what's wrong with my tooth.Health Question & Answer

since you had a sealant done, it might have got lose & micro leakage could have taken place. Sealants are not strong, they are just liquid composits. You need to go to a dentist & check it up.Health Question & Answer

as per your symptoms it looks like either you have a cavity on the side of the tooth or you have a cracked tooth.sealant is put on the top of the tooth but sometimes the cavity develps on the side. in both the situations you have to visit the dentist , if you delay the ,things can become more complicated and expensive. for more information on dental topics you can visit the following link

further they have the facility for free dental consultation by the dentist.Health Question & Answer

You might have a slight crack that is exposing the root.

The best advice I can give (except for going to a dental school where it is cheaper) is to swish your mouth with warm salt water. That relieves pain naturally. also ibuporfen is best because it reduces any swelling.

The best numbing gel if you cant take it anymore is called Red Cross. It is made of clove oil and numbs for hours.Health Question & Answer
