Question: Stitches in gums after tooth extractions.?
does anyone here know how long it usually takes for the stitches to dissolve or come out.? i was told 7 - 10 days. but can they come out sooner..and can i or can i not chew on soft foods do i just swallow it.? this is my first time having more than 1 tooth pulled at once..Health Question & Answer

7 to 10 days is the normal time for sitches to dissolve. But if they come out early there is usually no reason to worry, as long as you dont start to feel abormal pain. Just make sure to rinse your mouth out after eating and try to keep it as clean as possible. As far as eating goes, eat anything that is comfortable to you. The only restrictions are to keep the foods with in a normal limit, meaning nothing too hot, too cold, or too spicy.
