What kind of payment plans are there for braces?!
Question: What kind of payment plans are there for braces.?
Say my insurance doesn't cover braces. Seeing as how the average cost of braces is around $5K (correct me if I'm wrong), what kind of payment plans are there.? I'm specifically looking for low monthly payments even if it is over a long period of time because my family is on the lower-bracket for income.
And while we're on the subject, does anyone know if braces are covered at all by Medi-Cal for California residents.? Thanks. Health Question & Answer

it depends on your ortho. there's a one time payment, or a monthly payment. if you pay the one time, they usually give you some percent off, so there's an incentive to pick that one.
Medi-Cal isn't accepted b/c braces aren't seen as crucially needed. it's seen as cosmetic improvement. however you could try asking around more to see if there are some...i only checked with 2 orthos, and they both told me no.Health Question & Answer

I dont know about california, but I called around until I found a place that accepted payments. I checked them out etc and loved their set up. They are always busy, have tons of patients because of the payment plan. They do exist, you just have to find them. I just paid them off last month...YEH! ( Im from ks.)Health Question & Answer
