Answers:
make sure you check the plan guidelines. When i had dealt with them they were paying out on a fee guide from almost 10 (30% difference) years ago. A fee guide is issued each year to dental offices to use a guideline for the services your dental office provides. Make sure they pay out on a fee guide no older than 2 (5% difference) years.

Although i can't compare one plan to the other, i can give you some guidelines to help you make an informed decision.

The "average" dental plan has the following coverage:

80% basic: checkups cleanings fillings xrays root canals, 6month check up exams(although 9month is ok too) with 12 units of scaling. *scaling units are based of 15 minutes of time spent while cleaning your teeth most offices use three units per visit, depending on how often you need to get your teeth cleaned (3month, 4month, 6month) make sure you have enough time units for your cleanings.

50% major: crowns bridges implant dentures. major coverage is important because these types of treatments can be quite costly and usually unexpected.

$1500 maximum per year. some plans use a calendar year while others run on specific "contract" dates.

$25 individual or $50 family deductible that is paid at the first claim of each year.

Insurance plans vary, i hope you find one that works best for you.
