I have a underbite too. Though its not those kind of very serious one. That's why I'm wearing braces now. Plus my teeth are not straight.
The dentist will inspect your teeth first, and you will be ask to get braces.
If you want those kind of very perfect outcome ones, you can choose to go for an operation whereby they will push your lower jaw back a little to get the lower jaw in line with the upper jaw. Then, you can get your braces.
Though, even if you choose to have braces treatment only, the outcome will still be the same.
