ok im getting braces righht and my dad says that when i get them tightened that i cant get the colurs changed if it costs more so DOES IT COST MORE TO CHANGE COLURS.?.?!!!Health Question & Answer

NO, it's all part of the deal! The only things you may have to pay extra for are if you break your brackets off of your teeth or if you lose your retainer and need it replaced. You can usually change the colors every 6 weeks or so.Health Question & Answer

The colors you are talking about are the tiny rubberbands that are placed around the brace itself. The orthodontist has to place the rubberbands each time he removes the wire and replaces it with the new smaller one. As this has to be done they ususally offer a variety of colors as a small incentive for the patient.
So... enjoy the colors!! You can even choose multiple colors at teh same time (Halloween Orange & Black alternating or Christmas Red & Green...)

(I had mine for 4 yrs so I just want to tell you that your really HAVE TO wear ur retainers once ur all done... take it from me. I didnt and have regretted it ever since!!)
