Do NHS braces hurt when they are being fitted?!

I just got braces 6 months ago. I was really nervous, but actually it wasn't bad. It didn't hurt to get them on. Afterwards i was pretty sore, but I took some advil and was alright. Just stay away from solid food for the first week or so. I ate tons of ice cream, pudding, mashed potatoes, and yogurt for a while. Oh yeah, and pasta. lots of pasta. good luck. don't be nervous. just think of how awesome your teeth will look when they are taken off. Health Question & Answer
