Question: Impacted wisdom tooth about to tear out myself.?
I just lost my job and have NO insurance. I can't stand this impacted tooth that was supposed to be taken out but now I can't. The dentist won't even see me without insurance and Im pretty sure I have a dry socket.
I have heard that making the gum bleed causes a clot. Does it.? I am in so much pain Im willing to cut the surrounding gum I am on antibiotics. Can I pack it with anything else like dry tac.? I know this sounds nuts but Im just trying to separate the bone from outside air. Thanks.Health Question & Answer

You could make sure you keep it clean and rise with water.. and put cotton in there..

Removal of an impacted wisdom tooth is a surgical procedure. I would go to the local er and have them at least give you some pain killer. They should be able to refer you to a dental surgeon. I also would make a report to the dentistry board of the dentist refusal of treatment. They are supposed to be bound by law to treat emergency cases insurance or not. Go see another dentist that doesn't mind if you don't have insurance. There are some out there, my friend didn't have insurance but she got her wisdom teeth taken care of. Look around for health clinics or ask other local dentists.Health Question & Answer
