My wisdom tooth is infected..?!

Question: My wisdom tooth is infected...?
OK so if you have ever had a tonsil stone( the white bumps you get on your tonsils when you're sick) you'll know they have a very foul smell. Well I started noticing the smell and I could even taste it. I kept looking to see if anything was on my tonsils but nothing. It turns out the smell was coming from my wisdom tooth. I am seeing a dentist this week to clean it out until I can get it removed. The thing is it doesn't hurt or look infected. It just smells so bad! I keep flossing and brushing it. I have been gargling with salt water and using a tooth pick to go around the surrounding gum to try and clean it out but the smell is still there. Any suggestions until I can get in to the dentist.?.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Do not put any thing in your mouth except warm salt water.
Any other chemical solution will only complicate the problem.
Your dentist will probably give you a prescription for an antibiotic to get rid of the infection.
Sounds like you have an absessed root, but no pain.?
Consider yourself lucky.
