Good question. There really isn't one toothpaste that's the best, but when looking for toothpaste, it should definitely meet some of your requirements. Toothpaste must have fluoride in it, to prevent cavities & protect teeth. It could also be in a flavor that you like, & you can even buy toothpaste nowadays that is a 2-in-1 toothpaste & mouthwash!! :) If you want to whiten your teeth, there are many whitening toothpastes that work well. Really, almost any toothpaste works, as long as it has fluoride. Hope this helps.Health Question & Answer
Colgate Total. It has the ingredient 'triclosan' in it. Triclosan is an antibacterial agent that prevents plaque buildup for up to (just as the Colgate commercial says) 12 hours!
However, know that without the proper brushing technique, your toothpaste will not be as effective as it could.
