Why are my gums bleeding?!

Question: Why are my gums bleeding.?
Its on the bottom half of my mouth, under two of my front teeth. My mouth gets very dry, and last night, I fell asleep really early, so I didn't have water be4 bed. I take care of my teeth, I brush, floss, and do Act Restoring mouthwash. It doesn't hurt at all.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Gum disease is what usually causes bleeding.

I would'nt wory about it, it effects almost 90% of the world population. And its very common.

It can occur regardless of how well you look after your teeth.

However, It's also possible brushing too hard will cause your gums to recede and ultimately bleed.

I would recommend changing your current tooth brush to a "Wisdom/Jordan Click" which is specifically designed so you do not brush too hard. Available from most retailers.

Give that a try, hope it helps.Health Question & Answer

if it is only in that one isolated area it may be that you brushed too hard or that you need to floss regularly. also, regarding the previous post, gum disease is a serious issue that can effect you total well being. Gingivitis (red bleeding gums) is the first symptom, but is easily reversible with proper hygiene. Gum disease developes when the problem is ignored and tooth and/or bone loss is the result. Dry mouth is also an issue that can damage teeth and gums...look into "Biotene" at the store, designed to keep mouths moist, even through the night...good luck!Health Question & Answer
