My top spacers fell out, what should I do?!

Question: My top spacers fell out, what should I do.?
Last wednesday, (10/8) I got elastic spacers in the back of my teeth. 4 on the top, 4 on the bottom. Well all the top ones fell out and I'm kinda worried. I'm scheduled to get braces on Wednesday (10/15) So thats when the spacers come out. My orthodontist said if they fall out, then the gap in between the teeth is big enough. My orthodontist also is not close to my house, so I don't have the time to go back there just for spacers.

I bought small sized rubber bands and stuck them in the gaps. They are spacing my teeth apart but are giving a lot of pain. Keep in mind that there are only 2 more days until I get the braces

The point is, Should I keep the rubber bands in until Wednesday.? Or just leave the space empty. I DO NOT want to delay my treatment what so ever. Thank you :)Health Question & Answer

It is normal. You will not delay your treatment. I would suggest taking the rubber bands out. It is not going to help anyway. It sounds like your tooth that lost the spacer already has enough room. The gap is not going to close over night. You only have a day and a half left till you get braces so yes it is normal your spacer fell outHealth Question & Answer
