if your othordontist didnt tell you to do it, usually its a bad idea. ive heard of people who just double up on rubber bands, but only if they have a minor overbite. but ive never heard of head gear and rubber bands...this could cause an overbite if you dont have a minor overbite. you could probably do it for the first week, but thats it. but if you really want to know if its okay, ask your othordontist!Health Question & Answer
when i head gear
u were not suppose to wear bands at the time as head gear
so i suggest do not wear bands at the same as head gear
next do the bands and the head gear covering two seperate problems, or the same problem(like is the head gear taking care of your overbite, while your bands are taking care of something else.?)
next thing
i never heard of double rubeer bands
so there is no need to double up in bands, because it will not help your dental process go quicker
By the way, next time tell your dentist to explain everything to you about the headgear and rubber bands so you know how and when to use it
