I Think as long as one cleans their teeth on a regular Daily basis, there is little difference in the result.
Though I have always used Colgate, and still have my own noshers at 52.Health Question & Answer

I think that all toothpaste, cheap or expensive, is pretty much the same in the basic quality...if you compare apples to apples: tartar control, sensitive, whitening, all of those things....but there is a huge difference in taste, consistency, and smell....The mechanical act of brushing is the key in all of this...it really doesn't matter 100% if you even use NO toothpaste....you could use baking soda (like granny did) for brushing. Find one that you like taste wise and consistency wise, and stick with that....Probably best to use the cheapest best tasting and use a good mouthwash afterward...The fluoride content is minimal...its just another marketing ploy in this name brand conscious USAHealth Question & Answer

I buy the Aloedent (Aloe vera) toothpaste because it doesn't take the skin off the inside of my mouth and doesn't dry the mouth.
also it doesn't contain Flouride now since we can use a healthy diet which will help strong teeth and bones although years ago when teeth were bad diets were limited. Flouride is in the water and has been for years and as you may or may not know is poisonous but if you remember to let it stand before drinking the gases will dissipate. I fill a jug for the fridge.Health Question & Answer

The only toothpaste that makes me feel like my teeth and mouth are REALLY clean and fresh is the Aquafresh Extreme Clean range. I have tried cheaper brands and value brands but I find they leave a funny after taste sometimes and had to rinse more to get all of the paste out.

At the end of the day, i think they all do pretty much the same thing, its the taste and consistency of it that makes the difference.
