Deep Cavity in one of my teeth....?!

Question: Deep Cavity in one of my teeth.....?
I have a deep cavity in one of my bottom tooth. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. Today when I woke up, I found out that my cheek was swollen.

Is it because of the tooth.?
Will it be cured by a regular filling.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Most likely the tooth is abscess and you'll need to be put on an antibiotic and then you'll need a root canal.

No, a regular filling won't cure it!Health Question & Answer

The first answer IS correct. Probably an abscess. You may need a root canal and a crown because the decay has more than likely gone to the root and then got infected. If you can still feel cold sensations that means the decay hasn't hit the nerve yet, so the tooth itself should be able to be salvaged.

Hopefully you have dental insurance because it will cost you a pretty penny. Health Question & Answer

You'll probably be put on an antibiotic for a week before anything else can be done; you most likely have an infection. Health Question & Answer

First answerer is right I have one the same and its taking ages to get an appointment.Health Question & Answer
