Is it normal for some people to experience no pain at all after root canals?!

Question: Is it normal for some people to experience no pain at all after root canals.?
I was surprised because I had 2 root canals, and dentist said I would have some discomfort after the numbing had worn off. I was given anti biotics and pain killers but didn't get any pain at all.

I mean I'm not complaining lol, but I expected discomfort after, and know most people do.Health Question & Answer

This is perfectly normal and actually more common than those who experience pain following this procedure. Root canals experience a very high rate of success and have allowed people to retain a lot of teeth that would otherwise have been lost. I am happy that you are enjoying an unexpected outcome. I had one on a front tooth, and a molar and nope, no pain at all! Mostly only in my jaw from the needles and my mouth being open so long.
Apparently they used to be more painful.? But dentistry has come a loooong wayHealth Question & Answer
