Does smoking cause gum problems?!


Question: Does smoking cause gum problems.?
Ive been smoking (weed) for a really long time now but iv been doing it about 6 times a day now since mid september. Ive found that lately every time i blaze my gums become really tender and if i eat anything spicy it hurts them a alot. also, they feel like they get cut and more canker sourse more easily. Is this because smoking or am i lacking something in my diet.?
