Question: How long can I leave my tongue ring out.?
I've had it in for about a year. I'm going to the dentist for the first time and they have said that they want me to take it out just for the cleaning so they can work around it and then I can put it back in after. I'm afraid about it closing up though. If I take it out for about an hour am I ok.?Health Question & Answer

You will be fine. If you have had it for a year, you can leave it out for about 3 to 4 days with out it closing up.

I took mine out cuz i though dar was sum thin wrong wit it. I den tried to put it back in 20 mins l8r and it was closed dunno why it closed so fast. I was ragin den had to pay another 55 euro to get it don haha.. Neway i went to a body piercing shop and she told me dat ya can leave it out for 24 hr.. So i not realli sur xHealth Question & Answer
Hmm, that's a tough call. Ur tongue heals faster than anything else in ur body, so it might be painful trying to get it back in. Idk though, Ive never had mine pierced!

get a smaller barbelll they cant make you take it out. but im pretty shure that since you have had it for a while you can take it out and it wont close up. Health Question & Answer
i always left mine in when i got my teeth cleaned. they just have to be more careful. leave it in dude, its gonna hurt like a ***** tryin to get it back in even if you had it out for a half out.Health Question & Answer
