If your wisdom teeth grow straight, do you need to remove them still?!

Question: If your wisdom teeth grow straight, do you need to remove them still.?
I just got home from the dentist, and I am 18 years old. They told me that my wisdom teeth grew in straight, but they are still talking about having them removed. Is this really necessary.?Health Question & Answer

It depends on how well you can take care of them in the future. Most people have them taken out when they are younger (like your age) because they are easier to remove and the healing process is quicker. It is suggested that they come out because some (not all) people have problems brushing their wisdom teeth because they are so far back in the mouth and they may start to develop cavities/decay and you will then have a problem on you hands and have no other choice than to remove them. So, I would tell you if you can brush them easily with no problem, then you should keep them. You have nothing to worry about!Health Question & Answer

they may grow straight, but the dentist is maybe concerned about rest of your teeth -sometimes the growth of the wisdom teeth can cause abnormalities on the other teethHealth Question & Answer
