Taking a painkiller can help. also, remember to chew alot. You might not want to, but it's sorta massaging that jaw muscle. It's kinda weird, but it helps ease the pain a little. & yes, braces ARE stupid. lol =]Health Question & Answer
If you mean they are poking you, use wax on the poking metal.

I've had braces for about a month now, and they still poke my gums but I use wax to heal the spot :].
