Can somebody help with a jaw question?!
Question: Can somebody help with a jaw question.?
almost 5 days ago I got a lower wisdom tooth extracted. I was one of the lucky ones who's now experiencing dry socket and apparently jaw complications. The latter worries me a bit because I fear it will become a permanent problem. I did some online research and discovered that it could be trismus. If this is true, is there a way I can remedy the situation.? I can slightly open my jaw, but it's a little difficult and sore when I do so. :/ Health Question & Answer

hey I have jaw issues but had them before my extraction-
however after the extraction I had a new issue- I could barely open my mouth. Not even enough to use a fork.
It took 2 months for me to be able to regain normal function of my jaw, so if your main concern is inability to open your jaw, it's not that big of a deal. You will probably have to strain and exercise it to get it working normally again though (my surgeon after a couple weeks had me try and stick a finger or two between and put some firm pressure downward to regain that flexability)Health Question & Answer
