Spacers , braces?!
Question: Spacers , braces.?
hey, im getting spacers in about a week then braces in less than 3 weeks.
i was wondering what does it feel like when they actually put spacers and braces on your teeth.
and does the people that put on your braces push on your teeth to put the brackets,wire,ect.
and just things that they'll do.
like do they show me a video about braces before or after they put them in ect.

Okay so they don't push your teeth back or anything
I honestly don't know what they were doing cause I couldn't feel anything!
I was really bored to be honest with you haha.
I think they put something on your teeth [I forget the word] and then stick the square metal things on your tooth [doesn't hurt don't worry] they'll do this with all your teeth.
When they put the wire on the metal squares you'll feel pressure right away [ at least I did ] but don't worry it doesn't hurt!
after an hour or two you'll start to feel a bit of discomfort. I wouldn't say it hurts it just feels really weird.. and its hard to chew on things.
OH and also before they put on the braces they'll make you brush your teeth and they'll clean your teeth.
After the whole thing is done they'll give you instructions on how to brush your teeth/floss them.

Getting spacers and braces is not a painful procedure but it starts hurting afterwards for few days as these start putting pressure to move the teeth. But you can take care of this by taking pain killer tablet and taking the food which you donot have to chew much. After 3-4 days you become used to these and also the pain fades away. I got braces recently. When they put it on it hurts a little at first, but later on it wouldn't hurt as much. But for the first week they put braces on your teeth you'll feel like u won't be able to chew for the longest time(at least a week) It'll feel funny at first but when u get used to it, it'll feel like u have had them all ur life.Health Question & Answer
