I had problems with my wisdom teeth most of my teenage life. They would swell up and hurt terribly. I was probably 28 or 29 when I finally had the last one pulled. I always had to pay for them to be pulled, (no dental insurance) so couldn't afford them all at once. I went to a Dentist instead of an oral surgeon only because it was cheaper. It took a while for him to get it out, it was on the bottom and the root was wrapped around my jaw bone. I would recommend a dental surgeon, and you might think about being put under if you can afford it. That way you can sleep through the whole thing and wake up when it's all done. I'm not telling you this to freak you out even more, just know once you get those darn things out, they will NEVER hurt you again. It is worth it, trust me. The dentist or surgeon you go to will make it as easy on you as they can and as pain free as possible. I had more pain after, but only for about two days. That was many years ago so now I'm sure it would be a whole lot better. Just do it, get it over with, you will be glad. Those things are a PAIN to say the least. Hang in there, be strong and good luck. Hope I helped and didn't make things worse. :)Health Question & Answer

It is better to get them pulled out on time otherwise they can create problems for you in future and it is not something to be very afraid off. The dentist will numb the area and pull it out. You just have to take care post pulling out. For complete information on Tooth Extraction you can read the following very informative article
