Is teeth whitener bad for you?!

Question: Is teeth whitener bad for you.?
I use some off brand like the target kind I think. I have perfect teeth, without ever having braces, but they aren't as white as I wan them to be. Is there any potential harm in using teeth whiteners.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Well I would say yes. There arent really any long term studies on whitening products yet. Teeth are naturally an OFF WHITE color. Your teeth are not suppose to be as white as a sheet of paper.
I would suggest you get regular dental cleanings, brush and floss daily. That will keep your teeth as healthy looking as they can get naturally.

also NEVER use straight baking soda as the first person suggested. Only use products that contain baking soda if you want baking soda because it has been reformulated to be GENTLE to your teeth. Straight cooking baking soda is like rubbing sand on your teeth. It can strip the fluoride off your teeth.

Basically when you whiten teeth you are pulling the fluoride rich enamel layer off your teeth which puts your teeth at risk for cavities. Occasionally whitening your teeth probably wont hurt them, but there is no guarentee that you wont get cavities as a result of whitening your teeth. If you do choose to use a whitening product then make sure you use a fluoride toothpaste always and/or use a fluoride rinse too at bedtime (ACT brand for example) to help prevent any cavities.Health Question & Answer

Experience here.
I use whiteners 3 times a week and that is good and not over done. If you are going to do it, follow the directions exactly. If you decide to go over the limited time, you will cause irritation to your gums. But use it, it makes me feel good, so why not .?Health Question & Answer

No I don't think it does any harm. I got a free trial of Celebrity Bright teeth whitening kit and it worked really well, only had to pay like $5 shipping.

Got the whitening kit, tooth brush, tooth paste and floss.
