Do I have healthy teeth?!

Question: Do I have healthy teeth.?
I was wondering, how healthy are my teeth. I will be as honest and accurate as possible in my list of what my teeth/gums are like now:

Gums are light pink to pink and do not hurt when I am brushing them. However, they do bleed in my top 2 teeth right in the middle but no pain what so ever.
My teeth are not white, they are light yellow. Do they have to be white to be healthy.? My teeth never hurt when I eat sweets, or anything damaging to my teeth. I also have zero toothaches.
I brush my teeth EVERY single night but I'd probably miss out once a month because I was just that tired.

So, all in all, how healthy are my teeth.?
Do you think thee is any damage from what you have heard.?

Health Question & Answer

Answers:
As a former dental assistant, I would say that your teeth sound relatively healthy. However, bleeding is a symptom of gingivitis, but that is easily fixed. And slightly yellow teeth is normal and in my experience is not a sign of bad health.
For optimal dental health, make sure that you use a soft bristled tooth brush. Medium and hard bristled brushes can damage your teeth and gums. Use a toothpaste that has the ADA approval logo on it. Brush twice daily, if you miss once a month or so, you should be just fine. Floss daily, I know it's a pain, but it's very important for your gum health. Your gums should be a light color based on your ethnicity. Be sure that your gums are all the same color and are not darker around the part where they meet the teeth. See your dentist every 6 months for a cleaning and an exam. This will truly help you in the long run. See your dentist if you experience any toothaches or sensitivity to hot, cold, or sweets. Health Question & Answer

Okay, heres to start with:

1.Healthy gums should ALL be coral pink, looks rough(with stipplings) when dried, and thin (knife edge like in between teeth)

2.Healthy teeth doesnt need to be white. It should be always shiny(polished by brushing) and doesnt feel rough if you touch it with your tongue.

3. Healthy teeth and gums should not bleed and there should be No bad breath.

4. You brush your teeth at least THREE times a day (as we advice our patients).

If all of these conditions apply to you then you have healthy teeth.

Bleeding gums are caused by plaque trapped in betwen the teeth and gums. You should go to the dentist every six months for thorough cleaning by the hygienist or the dentist. and to check if you have cavities.

Health Question & Answer

from what you've written you seem to have healthy teeth. the gums are a good colour, your brushing habits are good and its always a good sign if there is no pain.

The colour of your teeth will vary to person to person. the yellow is caused by the dentin from within the tooth, again perfectly normal.

the bleeding between your from teeth may indicate gingivitis which is caused by plaque, however flossing in that area (im not sure if you already do this or not) can reverse this.
