I had the exact thing happen to me. I got my wisdom teeth out (all 4) last month and about a week after i got a swollen throat too. I called my dentist and he said it was normal and just to drink warm tea and gargle some salt water. The salt water i was kinda scared to do cause my teeth were still hurting but it did help the swelling go down and so did the tea. also eating popsicles helped my swelling go down. But you dont have anything to worry about the same thing happened to me. Hope you feel better soon!Health Question & Answer

it could be from your wisdom teeth, maybe you had a reaction to the medication you were given, or it could be something else like you have a cold. i doubt you would out of no where develop a swollen mouth as a cause from your teeth being removed after it has been over a week. try to take some calcium supplements and eat cold food like the person above me said - popsicles, stuff like that to reduce the swelling. if that doesnt work i would go to the doctor, not your dentist, and see if they want to send you somewhere for examination. good luck.Health Question & Answer
