Question: How long will I be so loopy after my concussion.?
I had a nasty hunting trip yesterday. I had a snagged tree fall onto me. It hit me across the shoulders and down my right arm, pushing me violently to the ground. It knocked the wind right out of me ( I was certain I was dying) and then I was very sleepy and unbalanced. I went to the ER...my shoulder has two minuscule fractures and I have a moderate concussion. That was all that was said. They told me not to drive for a week, but I want to know how long until I am "normal" again.?.? I have severe headaches, nausea, dizziness and I can't read or concentrate real well. I seem unsteady and like I am drugged....but I am not. Anyone have experience with this.? lol Thanks bunches!!Health Question & Answer

You can experience this for months. Did they tell you the grade of your concussion.?.? You need to get alot of rest. Whatever you do DON'T take hydrocodone for pain or the headaches!! Call your pharmacist and tell them you have a concussion and you want to know what you can take for pain and headaches. I hope you feel better. With a concussion you need to rest flat on your back. If you don't do this it will take a long time to recover. If you have been knocked out the concussion is severe. Don't take chances RESTHealth Question & Answer
