I only got one wisdom tooth, it was about 3 years grown. I had it pulled last December. It was growing on the side of my gum. It was sore, but I didn't get to look like a chipmunk that long. The dentist did a great job. I had lots of cold sugar free pudding, sugar free jello, popsicles, mashed potatoes, and cold liquids. After about a week I was back to normal. You'll be back to your norm in no time.Health Question & Answer

Been there, done it. Had both the bottom ones yanked out before they had come through. I found hitting my head really hard again a wall was the best way to distract from the pain. Pain killers did not even touch the pain. The only things you can do for the swelling is eat lots of cold food and be patient. Health Question & Answer

Oh, man that sucks. When I got mine out, I had major swelling too, but I actually used frozen peas and corn to ice mine (in the bag, of course). If you were perscribed some painkillers, although they don't always work, I would suggest those, otherwise just take it easy. Good luck and hope you feel better! Health Question & Answer

My brother had his removed a while ago.

He drank and ate lots of cold foods (like ice cream and popsicles) and then soup for dinner and stuff (not cold, i know)

And for numbness, he used ora gel to numb his gums.Health Question & Answer
