Can I have sugar with my braces?!
Question: Can I have sugar with my braces.?
I'm getting my braces on Oct 31st and my friends are telling me you can't have sugar like coke (which I love). Is this true.? If so, what can I have.?.?.?Health Question & Answer

Well i was told not to as because your braces will be pushing your teeth there Will be more spaces Between gums and teeth therefore a place for sugar to go which will really hurt as it will go straight to the root of the teeth and cause cavities, also don't try using diet coke etc. because although they don't have sugar they have plenty of acid which is just as bad, i do have coke the odd time but i brush very thoroughly afterwards, try not to drink coke as its harder to brush the sugar away when you have braces. :)Health Question & Answer
You can but it is easier to get cavities cause you can't brush as well. If you have to, try to eat sugar just with meals and don't snack between meals; this is the huge in preventing cavities. Mints made from xylitol are also good for preventing cavities when you can't chew gum.. Health Question & Answer
i dont think so u can...i no itz impossible but ur goin the small sugar crystals wit ur tea or coffee then itz f9..but having it just lik tat not possible...Health Question & Answer
