You don't want to get white elastics, but it's not because they might make your teeth look yellow.
You may have noticed that the elastics you have on your teeth right now aren't as vibrant as they once were. That's because you saliva and your food dulls the colour.
So if you were to get white, you would end up having grey coloured elastics, which look really bad.

Yes the white elastics will stain a lot more easily and can make your teeth look more yellow. When I had braces i always went with darker colors. Health Question & Answer
