Question: MY tooth hurts, any suggestions .?
So my tooth hurts for the second day. I had a Ruth canal done 2 years ago. My dentist is a really good dentist, 30 year exp. My cheek is not swollen & my gum is not swollen. But my tooth that a root canal done 2 years ago is hurting. And its hurting at the moment, last night I woke up b/c it was hurting. After when I woke up this morning it hurted still. You must go back to dentist to get an x-ray of the tooth.Sometimes root canals do not work .If all is fine,your dentist may be able to give you tips on pain management,good luck! Health Question & Answer
Well there can be a couple of things...First if it is a upper tooth you could have a long root which reaches into your sinus cavity and with the time of year you could have a sinus infection which can put pressure on that tooth. also root canals are only 95% accurate so sometimes a root canal can fail and the tooth can reinfect....i would go see your denitst and have them take a xray..GOOD LUCKHealth Question & Answer
