the injection does go into your gums but try asking for laughing gas i had laughing gas for getting teeth pulled and cavity fillings when you have the gas all you do is laugh and you are just very tingly and numb you have nothing to worry about if you get the gas.Health Question & Answer
arrr it doesnt hurt that much ive had loadz!! and for a filling you WILL need an injection because there is a risk of going too close to the nerve, if your a bit scared ask the dentist to put some pink jelly on the injection area, this helps numb the skin before the injection goes in, works for me, with the jelly i would say pain is about a 2 xxxHealth Question & Answer

Yes, it goes into your gums and it feels just like someone is pinching you but it lasts only a couple of seconds. I would say a 4, but everyone has different pain thresholds. Just imagine someone pinching you on your arm, except in your mouth. That makes it sound scary but it really isn't. Hmmm, I had one pretty recently. And I'd have to say about a 7. It hurts pretty bad cuz it stabs you right in the gums and it's not only one injection usually. One time I couldn't get numb enough and they shot me with about 5 injections.Health Question & Answer

eh...I'd say 6/10. it does hurt a bit, i wont lie. but it's over in a couple of seconds. so don't stress over it. you'll do fine. and yes, they do inject it in your gums.Health Question & Answer
