Question: Should i get braces at 15 years old.?
I was wondering if i should get braces, my teeth are pretty straight and i dont have an overbite, but theres a tooth on the the top thats a little crooked, and my bottom teeth are a little crowded. my orthodontist says that ill only have them on for seven months, wich is great, but im not sure if its worth seven months of looking like an idiot to fix one or two teeth. im 15 and around now most of my friends are gettin their braces taken off and i dont want to be just putting them on nowHealth Question & Answer

Personally i wouldt. You are in your teen years AKA your prime years of life. If you do get braces, you are going to need to clean your teeth after every meal or you will have yellow spots from the food material going into your braceses and stuff. also you wont have a chance of talking clear/eating gum or pop corn or getting laid. You would pretty much have to be a person without a gf.

I'm just getting braces in 9 days, im 15 almost 16, and to be honest i have to have them for 2 years, 7 months is nothing!!
Are you crazy 7 months. and what a few of them you will probably be in like last days of school xmas break!!!

you shouldnt follow the crowd..
its a bit silly, 7 months will be over before you know it and all you problems sorted.

Go to the dentist, and see what he has to say.
In my opnion the sooner the better. Did you know that insurance policies stop covering braces when you turn 18. If you need braces, do it now. My brother just found out he needed to do braces and he's 19. He freaked when he found out the insurance won't cover him because of the age limit.Health Question & Answer

it's better than trying to get your braces at 25. :P
i'm gonna be like 16 when I get mine and I'm going to have mine longer than you will, so yeah...be happy that it's less than a year.

7 months isnt that long.
i hated them at first, but then i liked them. minus the pain part.
now i wish i kinda had them on.

you should care what other people think braces are nce you wont have to wear headgear or get your teeth pulled witch is awesomer but 7 months isn't long it will go right buy i have been wearing mine for about a year and i can still remember getting them on the price sucks though but you don't have to worry about that you don't need this key thing either im pretty shure all you ned to do is get braces on and let them move they don't hurt at all especially if you only have one tooth but you need to be careful about brushing flossing and wash your mouth out with mouth wash i hate myself for not being more careful because my gums are now hanging a little over my teeth not hanging but my orthodontist says their swollen and i cant feal them weird but my teeth will be better and i wont have to worry about them any more Health Question & Answer
