NO. I bought one years ago, thinking it would come in handy, but I've never even taken it out of its packaging before. Seriously, a toothbrush would work just fine. I wish I hadn't bought the stupid tongue scraper on impulse back then. :(Health Question & Answer
Nah, just use your brush. Clean your tongue every time you brush your teeth. At least, that's what I do.
Edit: Ok, I just read your edit. I don't exactly see why a tongue cleaner wouldn't make you gag either, honestly, if a toothbrush makes you gag.Health Question & Answer

I like tongue scrappers because most of the bacteria in your mouth are on your tongue. U would use it every time u brush your teeth which is twice a day or after u eat. Health Question & Answer
