Ok well I have 4 wisdom teeth that are growing in like crazy and the pain is unbearable so I need to get them pulled...but I have not made an appointment yet because i am terrified of needles. So do they really hurt that bad.? Please be honest.Health Question & Answer

If fear is what is keeping you away, then discuss sedation with your doctor. While the doctors will do their best to make you as comfortable as possible an anxiety attack , will make all the docs attempts seem like they dont work. So ask about sedation.Health Question & Answer
I am not especially afraid of needles, but to me they are the hardest part of dental work. the pain goes away fast, though, and then you don't have any pain during the procedure because of the good anesthesia. There is pain, but there is a gain, too.Health Question & Answer
Im not sure if they give the same shot for extractions as they do for fillings.
But the shot for fillings it like a sting, and then pressure, it sucks, but it goes away in a few seconds and you're totally numb after that.Health Question & Answer

No, they will put a local anesthetic on your gums before they give you a shot, that's what they did for me anyways....and I didn't feel the shot at all.Health Question & Answer
