So today my orthodontist tells me itll be a good idea to get surgery... because my teeth keep moving apart...he sed its a t something ectomy I couldn't really get the name but its when they cut down the muscle fiber and move it up or w.e...can anyone tell me what thats called && the pros && cons of that surgeryy. A frenectomy is routninely done, to prevent the teeth from separating after braces. The cons of not doing it is the teeth will shift back, and you need braces again if you want to straigtem them out.
