Do you think the hygienist was right in diagnosing me with dry socket?!

Question: Do you think the hygienist was right in diagnosing me with dry socket.?
Is it typical to not have "severe" pain with dry socket.? I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed last Thursday.. and I'm having irritation .. I feel air around the sockets (has this happened to anyone.?) and they told me it was dry socket. I also think it's happening on the other side (the bottom left). They told me I didn't do anything wrong! But do you think they're sure it's dry socket.?.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I had dry socket, and it wasn't the worst thing in the world. It did feel like there was air or swelling in the socket. Health Question & Answer

Yes, after you have an extraction you are told by your dentist to follow simple instructions so you wont have a dry socket. Like no smoking, no spitting and no sucking through a straw or anything and you also have to be on a soft diet. Health Question & Answer
