i am supposed to have a nerve filling in one of my teeth and i would like to know the side effects it would cause on my tooth.(like will it dis color the tooth)Health Question & Answer

Do you mean a root canal.? Because if you do, the side effects are your tooth will probably be tender for a day or so after you get it done. Your tooth will probably discolor, unless your nerve is dead and your tooth has already started to discolor. If you are talking about a regular filling, amalgam fillings can discolor and make them turn a grayish color. The composite (white-type fillings) don't discolor your teeth, but they can have some sensitivity for a little while after you get it done. Health Question & Answer
