Retainers...................!

Question: Retainers.....................
Answers:
Well, considering the structure of your teeth and depending whether you have braces on, it can vary.

If you had braces for about two years, you probably need a retainer for about a year (maybe two).

If you had no braces, it depends on the problems or slight difficulties with your teeth.

As an orthodontic, I would advise you to ask your local dentist for support on further notice of your teeth. Considering the condition, not many people can help you online without X-rays and pictures.

Call your dentist/orthodontist and discuss treatment issues between your teeth and caring for them. I'm sure they'd be happy to help you out.Health Question & Answer

As long as your orthodontist tells you to wear them! One girl I know had braces for a year, then after that retainers for only at night. A boy I know has to wear his all the time, full time. I'll edit tomorrow, if you wait, and tell you how long I have to wear them...I'M GETTING MY BRACES OFF! YA!
Generally, it`s just a year with them full time, then every night for a few years, then only occasionally (once weekly) after that, or that`s what i`ve heard anyway. Check it out with your orthodontist!Health Question & Answer

for life. after ortho treatment you will wear full time for 6 months than go to nights. after that first year you still need to wear 2-3 times per week your teeth will always want to shift back. you can also request a permanent retainer so you don't have to worry about a removeable one.Health Question & Answer
